First Campout - Peterloon!

  • Camp Friedlander 581 Ibold Rd Loveland, OH 45140 United States (map)

JOIN MORE THAN 6,500 PARTICIPANTS, VISITORS, AND STAFF AT PETERLOON 2024: LEADERSHIP IN ACTION!

WHAT IS PETERLOON? Once every two years, the Dan Beard Council calls all Scouts to the banks of the Little Miami River for a unique gathering – Peterloon. It is the longest continuously operating camporee in the history of Scouting East of the Mississippi River, and has been a council tradition since 1927. Peterloon is Dan Beard Council’s large-scale bi-annual encampment for Scouts BSA and Cub Scouts members.

Peterloon offers excitement around every corner! From camp-wide programs and shows to tasty bites available from a fleet of food trucks, every minute of the Peterloon adventure has something to offer.

Pack 113 will be participating in two ways:

  • Webelos (4th Grade) and AOL (5th Grade) Scouts and adult leaders will camp together next to Troop 114 (middle school and high school age Scouts BSA). This is a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of how the Scouting adventure continues after Cub Scouts.

  • Tiger (1st Grade) through Bear (3rd Grade) Scouts will camp together with adult leaders, parents, and families.
